Take a journey to a totally different world as you float gently across the heavens surrounded by 25 hot air balloons!  Experience the surreal sense of being suspended in time as you witness the maneuvers and grace of these Gentle Giants.  Your approximate one-hour flight may include the beautiful South Carolina lakes, countryside of rolling hills, and blue mountain profiles that are frequently a part of the flight paths.  Celebrate your adventure with a traditional champagne celebration upon your return to earth. 

Hot air balloon flights will be booked in advance or you can wait and purchase your balloon flight at the Balloon Ride Tent on the launch field during the festival.  All flights are weather permitting.  The cost is $200.00 per person and cash and credit cards will be accepted.   To reserve a hot air balloon flight in advance please call 864-722-2097.  Flights are scheduled as follows:

Friday, Oct. 11       Sunset flight approx. 4:00 PM

                                 (check in required at 3:00 PM)

Saturday, Oct. 12  Sunrise flight approx. 8:00 AM

                                                   (check in required at 7:00 AM)

                                  Sunset flight approx. 4:00 PM

                                                    (check in required at 3:00 PM)

Sunday, Oct. 13     Sunrise flight approx. 7:00 AM

                                                   (check in required at 6:00 AM)

                                                  Sunset flight approx. 3:00 PM

                                                  (check in required at 2:00 PM)

If your flight is canceled due to unfavorable weather conditions, it will be rescheduled for the next available flight.  You MUST return to the Balloon Ride tent to reschedule your flight.

 Passenger Safety Guidelines

You will NOT be able to fly if:

·     You have had any injury or surgery in the past year,

·     You have had any recent injury to limbs or back; if any questions please call our office to discuss,

·     You are pregnant,

·     You are unable to climb over the side of the basket that is 3.5’ tall.

TETHERED RIDES

A dedicated, independent balloon pilot will provide tethered rides.  This business supports the event but is not managed by Balloons Over Anderson.  Tethered rides will be available on the launch field after each scheduled balloon launch, weather permitting.  The cost is $10.00 per adult and $5.00 per child 12 years and under.  Passengers may be asked to sign a Waiver and parents must be present to sign for their children.
